It's World Outlander Day!

June 1st is #WorldOutlanderDay! Please join Diana Gabaldon's fans all over the world in celebrating the 28th anniversary of OUTLANDER's publication in 1991. (Credit for the idea goes to a German blogger in 2014.)

Congratulations, Diana, and many thanks (yet again!!) for deciding to write that "practice novel". These books truly have changed my life, in more ways than I can count.

In celebration of #WorldOutlanderDay, please take a moment to vote in the June poll, which is all about spreading the word about OUTLANDER (books or show) to other people.

If you're on Twitter, please tag your tweets today with #WorldOutlanderDay. Thanks!

  1. Hi Karen , love being a fan of such a wonderful book series and Tv series , June is special month for me , JUne is the month I first discovered Outlander for the very first time and so every June on my anniversary I read the book every June , and so will be reading the book watching the new season 4 on DVD and listening to the soundtrack CD , so Happy Outlander Weekend to all fans , please post more soon. Loving Outlander.
  2. in "dragonfly in amber" there is the part in which the teen age version of lord john gray tries to slit jamie's throat shortly before the battle of prestonpans, which leads to all kinds of interesting consequences and complications: these include jamie pretending to abuse claire to get lord john to fess up with the info jamie wants - successfully - and so much more. what i found most interesting is jamie's concern about protecting the honor of the young lord john by allowing him to believe that he was worthy of being killed, presumably for his bravery. i love the discussions between jamie and claire that focus on their differing philosophic outlooks. there is much of that in this episode.
