Update on the Official OUTLANDER Coloring Book

Here's the cover of the upcoming Official OUTLANDER Coloring Book, due out October 27, 2015.

You can pre-order from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Personally I think Jamie looks like a teenager in this picture. Too bad they couldn't have used a drawing of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe!

For those of you who don't know, this is a coloring book intended for adults. Look here for more information.

UPDATE 9/7/2015 8:22 pm: Diana Gabaldon has posted a detailed explanation about the coloring book on her Facebook page. I would definitely encourage you to read the whole thing!

Not for $12! The Kindle books are cheaper than that!

I have my fingers crossed for a contribution or two from "Compuserve Sylvia" (aka bluesquint) hers were the first visuals I ever saw of the Outlander characters, and oh, did she do them justice! (In all their glory) I would buy two, one for fun and one for keeps, if I thought her work was included!

Jamie looks about 12!
I have to admit I bought an adult colouring book from France. Some of the pages are Parisian houses. I am loving it!

Do we know yet if the pages will be one sided or double sided? Single sided is easier for coloring, especially with markers that bleed. The Random House website doesn't even say one way or the other.

You would probably like the results better if you used an artist quality coloured pencil set.

On the 30th, Diana told Portland Oregon about the road they've taken trying to create the coloring book. They've pitched images after images to her, but none were up to par. They either looked like perverts or stupid according to Diana. At that point, she still hasn't seen the final cover.

Oh yes, Sylvia's has always matched my imagination the closest! Apparently they're using the same artist that made the Game of Thrones coloring book.
