Here are a few of my personal favorites:

1) Claire's memory of the Vestal virgins:
I’d considered that with a sort of morbid relish--I might have been ten--and then asked with interest just how a vestal might betray her vows. Which is how I learned what used to be called “the facts of life,” Uncle Lamb not being one to shirk any fact that wandered across his path, or mine. And while Uncle Lamb had assured me that the cult of Vesta had long since ceased operations, I had at that point resolved not to be a virgin, just in case.

2) Ian and Rachel on their wedding night:
“Here I am, tryin’ to go slow, tryin’ to be gentle...and next thing I ken, ye’re squeezin’ my balls and stickin’ your fingers up my arse!”

3) Jenny, Jamie, and Hal:
“Mr. Fraser,” he said, in a voice that was almost steady. “Your servant, sir.”

“Your most obedient, Your Grace,” Jamie replied, suffering an insane urge to laugh, and kept from it only by the sure knowledge that his sister would immediately reload and shoot him at point-blank range if he did. “I see ye’re acquainted with my sister, Mrs. Murray.”

“Your--dear lord, she is.” Pardloe’s eyes had flicked back and forth between their faces, and he now drew a long, slow breath. “Is your entire family given to irascibility?”

“We are, Your Grace, and I thank ye for the compliment,” Jamie said, and laid a hand on Jenny’s back.

"Sweet Shepherd of Judea, " she muttered to me. "Is that man wearing a woolen _petticoat_? And what sort of pattern is that cloth? Enough to burn the eyes out of your head." (Mrs. Figg, to Claire, upon seeing Jamie in full Highlander regalia.)

I agree this book was really. The first time I laughed out loud reading it was when Bree found the note about the lock smith's emergency and got angry because who could honestly be having a worse emergency?! Oh this book was so great- love the excerpts you picked. Time to reread!

When the whole family is eating frog legs and Rachel asks the "tasting like chicken" question, and when Claire tries to "be technical about it", she gets "a chorus of mingled groans and laughter". LOVE this!

CHAPTER 61- "You mustn't hit him again, Grand-pere," Germain said earnestly, breaking the silence. "He's a very good man, and I'm sure he won't take Grannie to bed anymore, now that you're home to do it." ROFLMAO!

I found the various characters' comments regarding William and Jamie's resemblance to each other a hilarious running joke!

At Ian & Rachel's wedding when Fergus whispers to Marsali about the "does he have a cock?" which was remembering their very offbeat wedding.

I loved all of these moments. I hadn't really thought of it as a funny novel, but you have really made me think about it now. I did have a lot of moments where I was chuckling while reading. I've got my review up and posted at: http://www.lauragerold.blogspot.com/2014/07/written-in-my-own-hearts-blood-by-diana.html Do you have an overall review up yet? I can't seem to find it anywhere!
