Diana Gabaldon's future projects
Diana Gabaldon just posted an update on her blog about her future projects, things she intends to work on once the current round of traveling/touring is over and she has a chance to get back to her regular writing routine.
I'm glad to see that the OUTLANDISH COMPANION, Volume 2, and the e-book on how to write sex scenes are at the top of her list!
If you didn't already know this: yes, Diana has confirmed that there WILL be a Book 9! (Eventually.) But please note what Diana says in her blog post:
Diana Gabaldon is an amazing writer, but she's also a human being. Please try to be patient! It will probably be 2018 or later before we see Book 9 in print.

In the meantime, any eager soul who foolishly asks me, “When will Book Nine be out?” will be politely ignored. Or bonked on the head with the copy of MOBY they just asked me to sign, depending…I'm reasonably sure she's kidding about bonking people on the head, but it must get very tiresome for her to hear that question over and over again, when WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART'S BLOOD has been out less than four weeks, and she hasn't even really started working on Book 9 in any serious way yet.
