My name is Karen Henry. I discovered the OUTLANDER books in 2006, and quickly became thoroughly addicted! I started this Outlandish Observations blog in August, 2008, long before anyone knew there would be a TV series. Things have changed a great deal in recent years, but one thing we all have in common is our love for these books and characters and this amazing story that Diana Gabaldon has created.

I have been reading the Book 8 excerpts, so the one that she read here wasn't news to me. Though it was fun hearing her read it out loud! Did anyone else get excited when she mentioned a certain historical figure who would return in Book 8? I had goosebumps! :-D
